A Norton Secured Seal is shown to users of Norton Internet Security, Norton 360 and Norton Safe Web Lite in their search results pages. Sites that display Norton Secured Seal use VeriSign SSL or the VeriSign Trust Seal which indicates that their business has been validated as a legal business entity and the web site uses recommended security practices including best-of-breed SSL Certificates and daily web site malware scanning. To find out more about VeriSign SSL and VeriSign Trust Seal.
Do you think your Web site's rating is inaccurate?
Please note that your site needs to be registered and site ownership verified to get the site re-evaluated. See Getting started with Norton Safe Web for more information. If you feel that your Web site has been given a rating by Norton Safe Web that is inaccurate, you can easily request a re-evaluation following these steps:
The "site dispute" tab lists any threats detected on your site. You must remove these threats from your site. We process re-evaluation requests in the order in which they are received. Submitting an appeal after your site has been re-evaluated
If you are not satisfied with our re-evaluation of your Web site, you can submit an appeal. You must completely review and remove any security risks on your Web site before submitting an appeal. Click the "Appeal my re-evaluation results" link next to your Web site name on the "site dispute" tab. On the next page, you will see the threats detected on your site. You should remove these threats if you agree that our detections are accurate. If you think the detections are not accurate, please indicate why you think so. Note that it is helpful to provide as much detail as possible to help your appeal. We will send you a notification on receipt of your appeal request. We review the appeals in the order in which they were received and will send you a notification on completion. You can revisit the Norton Safe Web Site report to view the updated rating for your Web site. You can view all your Web site ratings and re-evaluation request status on the "site dispute" tab of your profile page. Also, please keep in mind that the opinions of the people who write reviews on our Web site do not reflect the views of Symantec; we cannot filter reviews out. If you have a problem with something that someone writes in a review, perhaps you should leave a review addressing any misconceptions that visitors to your site may have. If your Web site has had repeated problems that have caused us to give it an unfavorable rating, we may refuse or postpone a request for reanalysis of that site.
